Sadie Sommer brings to Firefly a background in healthcare research and project management, with experience in academic, nonprofit, public health, and social service settings. Her work has included grant and proposal development, manuscript development, qualitative research, and community-engaged research. She has experience managing complex initiatives from conceptualization through completion and has worked collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

Sadie has authored and co-authored articles in peer-reviewed academic journals across disciplines. Her publications have addressed topics including women’s health, health disparities, chronic illness, and HIV. Earlier in her career, Sadie spent 15 years as a professional ballet dancer.

She holds a Master of Public Health in Policy from Vanderbilt University. She is also a certified Medicare counselor and longtime community volunteer.
